Czech Coffee Ministry

Recent lunch with friends visiting from Czech Republic. Sharing conversations over Viers Coffee and discussing youth ministry here and there.
Using our efforts combined to become tent-makers.
Next year we will be calling together a group of 10 from the US to visit Czech for two weeks and plug into their youth programs, sharing ideas from several sports specific ministries and equiping their youth to rise up and become leaders in there areas to then continue the great efforts for generations to come.
If anyone feels called to travel Europe with our group please start planning and praying with us today. For more info email: prayer@vierscoffee.com

The Bettinardi Experience

Who would have thought so much technology could possibly go into putting?
After spending a day at the Bettinardi Golf Studio outside of Chicago, I now have a greater appreciation for precision and the art of making putters. It truly is an art!
Glenn Zagorski, the VP of Tour Development has an understanding like no other. His experience and knowledge is unmatched.
When I go to the course and make or miss putts on any given day, I have never given thought of the degree on the putter face, shaft angle or grams pertaining to the take away, inside or outside the edge.
Very confusing for most unless it's broken down and shown frame by frame on the flat screen, then it all makes sense. With paychecks and career earnings on the line, its no wonder a large majority of tour players make this studio a frequent stop.
I for one recommend taking a closer look www.bettinardi.com

The Moody Church in Chicago

My first visit to Moody Church this past weekend provided a great start to the day.
Next on October 12th will be the Chicago Marathon and Moody will be outside to support the event in full force. By giving water and food to onlookers of the race, Moody Church is planning to fellowship outside making this time their regular scheduled service. Talk about reaching the people!
Come out and join in on the fun while serving during the morning hours.

Viers Coffee- Plus Office

Viers Coffee has begun a new division in office products to compliment our existing product lines of water and coffee service. This new concept is far from new to most but our customers have noticed the need for "service" to be incorporated back into their supplier's offering and we have embraced that concept.
We have always provided great and friendly service, meeting each customers' needs as if our own. This transition comes natural. We are in every local office weekly, why not prevent addition deliveries and ordering from our customers. Small business owners and employees have plenty to do daily and with the tightening of budgets, saving delivery charges and not having to send someone out shopping local sales, just made perfect sense.
Our items will include the following:
-Copier Paper
-Pens and Pencils
-Staples, paper clips and rubber bands
-Small pack waters and juice
-refrigerator sales or rentals
-paper towels, cups and plates
-garbage bags

Please price check such items and start saving today!

FCA in Virginia

Another week in Virginia brought about many new and exciting relationships, ministry opportunities, and great fellowship from 132 men in support of the annual FCA golf classic at the Virginian Golf Club.
Chris Crockett the area director for FCA started the event years ago and with the help of his local board held one of the best tournaments of the year.
Hearing the men and women speaking afterwards was all praise. With temperatures in the upper 80s and full sun, what more could you expect?
Please look soon for a video slide show and photo album of the behinds the scene work and true praise and purpose of the outreach

The Utah Experience

Sojourn 2008
A week with the youth in Utah listening to conference speakers, Francis Chan and Greg Stier/Dare2Share Ministries.
Climbing a mountian with the kids, taking in a Salt Lake Bees minor league baseball game and catching the fireworks show on the fourth of July were only a few of the exciting times of fellowship during downtime.
The Conference itself was the real headline as nearly 7000 youth groups from around the country gathered to hear the great sounds of Canadian rockers-- Starfield who opened and closed in worship daily throughout the week.
Being there and seeing the number of students effected was an encouragement to all of us. The relationships formed and stories shared will last forever.
I can't wait until Sojourn 2010!

Viers Coffee Co.

We have finally made the coffee transition to assist the ministry.
By blending a unique batch of dark roasted coffee made available for use by our ministry outreach events-to reach out or fund-raising.
Providing a great 12oz bag of ground coffee in a sleak gloss black bag with a new look and label to get people asking. Not only about the coffee but the message revealed on the front, starting with the logo itself "SERVING MORE THAN COFFEE" ><>

Fellowship Week

This month (April,2008)is the upcoming Harbour Town PGA golf tournament on Hilton Head Island.
We are gathering men from different ministries but similar focus in glorifying God.
A week in which tens of thousands come rushing in to partake in the festivities around the golf event--the largest visitor week of the island.
Our plans include breakfast with the pros, attending the golf event, daily devotion and dinners while sharing each other's spiritual gifting God has given.
A few pastors sharing points of view, teachers of golf, FCA leaders and Links Players. A week around Romans 1:11-12 and encouragement.
Check back often to discover the directions we will take. Following His lead!
Many Blessings to all,
Brian

After being in a car for twelve hours, most people would agree--it's time to get out and walk--

Well in route to Florida, that's exactly what I did after seeing a sign for Stone Mountain in Georgia.

Much warmer to me even in the early morning air than any previous Christmas Eve morning so recalculate the GPS and off we go. Paying a nominal fee to enter the park area and winding through narrow curved streets, I am careful to avoid joggers and dog walkers. I safely find a parking spot and kill the engine. Looking up at this magnificent piece of granite rock. If only I were bigger I could pick it up and toss it about like a pebble. This large rock resting on the earth's crust. This must see from the ground, had only heightened my desire to reach the top.

Quickly I grab my cup of coffee(Viers Coffee) of course, and head up to an area where others had gathered with the same intent. A yellow dotted line painted the suggested path, or (road if you will) to take, so as Dorothy and her crew had done with much success, I followed the proverbial "yellow brick road".

With notepad, camera and coffee cup in hand I ascend on up toward the top. Tall pine trees lines the paths as well as large cuts of stone to navigate.

About half way up I catch another trekster, taking this idea much more serious than I. He had the workout suit and shoes to boot, climbing with arms in full motion, proper breathing and an alarming pace, similar to the speed walking women who once ruled the streets of my neighborhood growing up. Hesitant to stray off my yellow path, I'm faced with the dilemma of slowing my pace or confronting this stranger in his exercise routine. I decide to pass. while going round and saying "hello" we engaged in small greetings and soon full conversation.
A post of encouragment:

Finding the simple joy of serving through encouraging others in their walk with Christ.
